Overview

Talking about one such car of Hyundai in hatchback segment is Hyundai Eon. Eon is a city car for five passengers with 5 doors and four wheel drive.

The car is aimed at budget customers and is undoubtedly the best looking vehicle in this segment. The intelligent design of cars is just not limited to its exteriors but can also be seen in the interiors. The compact design with its swept back headlights, the hexagonal chrome grill, the side mirrors, the rear LED stop light, the wide windscreen and the steady wheels gives it grace. Capable of squeezing 21.1 km out of every litre of fuel the advanced 814 cc Epsilone 0.8 MPI (gasoline) engine with three cylinders promises to keep the driving cost low. It is a five speed manual transmission car which can clock a maximum speed of 140 km/hr. With such speed one has to take adequate safety measures as well. One should not worry about it when sitting inside Eon as the car has the tough upper body and also its side doors are with such strength that it would reduce the impact of collision. The wide windscreens, body coloured bumpers door handles and external mirrors give a good visual appeal. Overall this car has premium and a compact looks with a range of exterior colours offered by Hyundai ranging from coral white to black diamond, pristine blue, yellow, ember grey, electric red, sleek silver, clean blue, mushroom YDW and maharaja red making it peppy and eye catchy.

Big surprises come in small package! Eon rests on overall dimensions of 3495 mm x 1550 mm x 1500 mm with a wheel base of 2380 mm which makes provisions for a generous cabin space inside.

Interior


Every inch is carefully worked upon in such a way that it gives a good feel and an elegant look when one steps inside this hatchback. There is a combination of beige and black colour to be seen inside which gives it a different look. The materials used inside are of top notch quality with consummate finishing and stitches to it. The curvy and spacious dashboard, the instrument panel with three pods which display every important information about the car, the three spoke power steering wheel with metallic inserts and a firm gear shifting knob in the centre gives in all a good look and ease to driver and front passenger.

The seats are comfortable and the front seats come with vertical adjustable headrests that give support to neck. Other additional features for comfort are the tilt steering column which can be adjusted according to individual’s preference, the dual cup holders in the centre console, the door pockets in which papers or maps can be kept, the dashboard upper tray where all your things find place. An upgraded heating and air conditioning system is there which would blow air to rear cabin occupants as well, not at all compromising on cooling heating and ventilation.

Hyundai Eon has a capacity to accommodate five passengers including the driver with ease. With a good height and wheelbase, this hatchback offers a decent headroom and legroom to its passengers along with a generous boot space of 215 liters.
