Introduction

Kia Motors Corporation, a joint venture is another name that has earned respect for itself and obviously gets a mention while talking about automobile industry. This company was founded in 1994 and has an enriched journey up till now. It is basically a Korean company which has grown manifold in terms of time. With partnership with Hyundai it is known as Hyundai Kia automotive group and together becomes world's fifth largest automaker. This brand has always surprised people by creating cars in all segments and delivering above the expectations. Talking here about one such car is Kia Cerato-Forte. It is a compact four door sedan with fantastic features.

Engine, Mileage and Variants

Kia Cerato Forte comes in two types of engine. First is the Gamma 1.6-litre MPI with maximum power of 130 PS at 6300 rpm alongside a maximum torque of 163 Nm at 4850 rpm. Second engine in the arsenal is the Nu 2.0-litre MPI with maximum power of 161 PS at 6500 rpm and maximum torque of 203 Nm at 4800 rpm. In combined condition under moderate speed the car would give fuel economy of 10.2 kmpl which is more than decent for a dedicated sedan. The top speed attained by this drive measures 175 kmph with the 2.0-litre engine embedded alongside a 0-100 kmph acceleration figure measuring 9.6 seconds.

Exterior

Kia Cerato Forte has dynamic aesthetics and well proportioned profile with sloping roof, sun roof on top, distinct side lines, flannel on the rear trunk and the uplifted back look adds to its sporty attire. The swept back HID head lamps, rear combination lamps, round fog lamps and smart welcoming lighting system on wing mirrors which glow bright on its body gives it a star look. The car offers a choice of four type of wheels that is 15 inch or 16 inch steel or 16 inch alloy and the 17 inch alloy with ultimate looks. Interior

The master designing on Kia Cerato-Forte is not only restricted to exteriors but can be witnessed in the interior segment too. The front area is designed in such a way that it gives the aura of sitting in a cockpit of a plane. Its a pure combination of function buttons and comfort. The centre facia is angeled towards the driver by 9 degrees, the leather wrapped heated steering wheel with auto cruise control feature and the ten way power assisted driver seat makes driving comfortable for the driver. The flex steer system provides three driving modes that is comfort normal and sport. The car is spacious enough to accommodate five passengers on its rear comfortable seats with ample legroom and head room. An automatic air conditioning with rear vents keeps the car cool and order free. 4.3-inch touch screen audio system with six speakers makes this car a true diva. The 60: 40 split folding seats give ample boot space while planning holidays.

Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous

The brand is responsible to discharge its duty of making a car safe for its occupants. The safety features in it are the front and rear seat belts for its passengers along with the airbags for its driver and front passenger. The front and rear parking assist system which helps in safe parking and more to it is the rear view camera which gives clear sight of vehicle behind your car thus maintaining your car as well as others car safety. Verdict

With strong features, impressive interior looks and superior exterior designs this car surely came as a tough competition for others. Handling and fuel consumption however remains a negative and does hamper the performance upto some extent.
